TRUSTEES EDUCATION AND TRAINING

As Trustees, it is part of our fiduciary obligation to equip ourselves with the necessary skill and knowledge required to make important decisions about your benefit plans.This, we do through the trusteed educational programs offered through the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.

In addition, the Trustees are empowered to use the services of qualified professional advisors to assist them in the management of the benefit plans (Welfare, Pension, SUB, WSIB Trust Funds).

It is also a requirement of the Trustees to effectively communicate with the membership about their benefit plans.This, they do through newsletters, member benefit statements, pre-retirement seminars, apprenticeship seminars, membership meetings with the Trustees and their professional advisors.
